Life Captured Photography Exhibition

From the 1st of June to the 28th of July, we invited photographers from near and far to show us Life As You See It. Photographers or photography hobbyists were asked to submit an image alongside one word to describe how they see life.

The goal of the online photography competition was to recognise how our photographic community celebrates life through the lens, and we were thrilled to have over 2500 images from 644 photographers. From these entries, we managed to whittle the number down to three winners, and 125 of our favourite shots to be shortlisted and exhibited.

These lucky photographers and their authentic snaps will be on display at the FUJIFILM House of Photography from the 5th of August to the 25th of August. It was hard to choose the ‘best’ images — because how can we quantify or judge another photographer’s experience?

We know that what makes you press the shutter is unique to you, so we based the shortlist on the emotion behind the images, and how they were represented through the lens. Why not come along to see for yourself?

‘Life Captured’ celebrates the diverse ways of seeing the world through the lens.  We want to highlight the abundant creativity in our community and display the way you see the world, within your world.

Because your vision among the billions can change how we look at life, death, democracy, torn sweaters, boring Sundays, the unfortunate, and the unknown.
