Before we share the details of what you’ll get up to in this wedding photography workshop, let’s get to know more about the expert who will be guiding you throughout this exciting event.
Scott Johnson
FBIPP FSWPP Master of The Societies, Scott is an internationally recognised, award-winning photographer based in Essex, UK. Known for being fun and energetic, Scott travels the world as a judge, educator and mentor, and has photographed weddings worldwide.
He has judged for numerous international photography competitions and has won an array of prestigious photography awards himself. These include being named SWPP ‘Master Photographer’ in 2018 and winning the SWPP 20x16 Open & Natural World category in 2019. He also finished runner-up in Wedding Classical, a category he previously won in 2016.
At the 2019 WPPI Awards in Las Vegas, Scott was the only British winner, earning first place in Wedding Contemporary (Gold Distinction). He later won Architectural Photographer of the Year in 2021 and the SWPP 20x16 Wedding Day category in 2023.
Key information for attendees
This is an interactive workshop designed for wedding photographers. Scott will cover a small keynote in the wonderful studio at the FUJIFILM House of Photography, then you’ll all hit the streets of London with our model to put the theory into practice.
This is your opportunity to explore techniques you’d like to add to your wedding shoots without the pressure of the actual wedding day.
Scott will be on hand, along with a technical specialist to answer any camera questions you may have.
Location: FUJIFILM House of Photography, London
Meeting point: Studio
Date: 2nd August 2025
Time: 11:30am-5:30pm

What can you expect from this workshop?
This workshop is aimed at aspiring wedding photographers of an intermediate level. While Scott will provide comprehensive training and guidance on the day, it would be useful if all attendees had a basic understanding of the exposure triangle — aperture, shutter speeds and ISO.
Itinerary for the day
Note: Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your session time.
What will you learn?
This well-balanced wedding photography workshop will guide you through how professionals like Scott cover a wedding day. You’ll learn everything from lighting techniques and the best ways to interact with clients to create high-quality, memorable photos.
Scott will also be walking the streets of London as he looks to turn a location with seemingly no prospects into something amazing – and in doing so, unlocking the secret to how he stays fresh on a wedding day, no matter how often he works at the same venue.
What kit will you need?
You’re welcome to bring your own set-up, although a selection of the latest FUJIFILM cameras and lenses, including the GFX system that Scott uses will be available on the day.
If there are any particular X or GFX cameras or equipment pieces you’d like to try, please do contact us via email (fujifilm_schoolUK@fujifilm.com) or call us on 0203 486 4610. We will try our very best to accommodate you.
As the UK weather is so unpredictable, be sure to pack weather-appropriate clothing, wear comfortable shoes, and take a bottle of water and snacks to keep you going. Though we will have a designated break time to rest, catch up and reset, there will be a lot of walking and time spent outside.
Activity and mobility
This photowalk around London is suited for photographers with a moderate activity level. All locations are only a short walk within London City Centre, however, there are some areas that might not be fully wheelchair accessible.
First aid
Your photography workshop leaders are fully First Aid Trained for outdoor activities and will always carry a full First Aid kit.
