The XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR boasts a 35mm equivalent focal length of 762mm, revealing breathtaking details on distant subjects and granting dramatic telephoto compression. For even more reach, the lens is also compatible with optional 1.4x and 2x teleconverters (sold separately).
An advanced optical design includes 21 elements in 14 groups, with five ED and two Super ED. This grants improved resolving power, so the lens can work in conjunction with the latest 40-megapixel X Series sensors, while typical aberrations seen in super telephoto lenses are minimised.
Weighing in at only 1335g, and with a length of just 255.5mm, the XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR is designed for the photographer on the move. The lens is also resistant to weather, dust and freezing temperatures, so can be used with confidence in adverse conditions.
Vastly improving the lens’s handheld imaging ability, the XF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR has up to 5.5 stops of Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). This enables the lens to more effectively gather extra light for use in darker conditions, or to create images with slow-shutter-speed effects.
